Description

Blender is a free 3D computer graphics software tool that can be used to create 3D art, game assets, custom characters, animations, visual effects, simulations, movies and much more.

Blender has applications in game development, the arts, the animation movie industry and manufacturing and can ignite kids’ passion for STEAM. As they progress, they’ll discover the potential of the software to bring their imagination to life!

Objectives

Students will learn to basics of creating 3D Art in Blender, moving, rotating, scaling basic shapes and will transition to creating more and more complex objects.

Tools required

Students will need to have a computer (Windows or Mac).

A three button mouse is highly recommended for use with Blender. If possible, please ensure that your child is furnished with one.

Blender must be installed. Go to https://blender.org/download
