This course is designed to teach coding and Scratch to parents who are interested in gaining an understanding of what their children are learning or teachers who are interested in teaching coding, or incorporating coding, in their classrooms. We will introduce the primary block categories as well as several of the extension blocks and demonstrate the types of projects that can be created with Scratch.

As a "train the trainer" course, students should have a solid understanding of Scratch and how Scratch can be used to teach children coding and other educational concepts by the end of the course. Students should be able to produce educational material using the PrintScratch.com website.
